1. Test on Early History, Ancient Civilizations and Classical Civilizations
Due 11/18: 1. Finish flashcards for: constantine, edict of milan, mayan decline, han decline, wang mang, gupta decline, roman empire decline, cultural diffusion
2. Copy the declines chart onto the "conceptual packet" by taking the chart and turning the words into pictures. the chart is the one that summarizes the declines of the classical civilizations. your job is to take the chart and summarize it in pictures. Please make sure to add the Maya to the chart!
3. Read the "MAJOR BELIEF SYSTEMS" for a rich discussion on religion on wednesday
Due 11/12:
1. Draw or Print pictures for Classical Rome (Both for the Republic and the Empire) FILL UP THE PAGE... you don't have to always print out pictures, you may draw them as well... many of you still have spaces on your collages... FILL UP THE PAGE
2. On the back type a summary of the Roman Repulbic first (Paragraph format) and then type a summary of the Roman Empire second (Paragraph format)... look at your white book and/or the internet for good summaries. Keep in mind you will still try to find the PERCLS but you are typing it in paragraph format.
3. Paste your summary behind the pictures
Due 11/10:
1. Finish Big Timeline for Greece and Rome
Due 11/9:
1. Create Cover Page for Conceptual Booklet
2. Draw or Print pictures for Classical Greece... on the back type a summary of Greek PERCLS
3. Draw or Print pictures for ALL individuals of Classical Greece... on the back chart a small bio of each of the individuals highlighting important facts from each individual
4. Finish all "unfinished" cards
5. Make sure you're read up to Rome's Collapse
Due 11/5:
1.Please finish all the flashcards that I had you create for Alexander the Great and Early Roman History.
2. Finish the BIG timeline for Greek and Roman History Due 11/3:
1. Finish the Lydians, Phoenecians and Hebrew Pictures with a TYPED summary on the back.
2. Also finish the timeline for Ancient Civilzations (Small timeline that should go on the same page as the Lydian, Phoenecian, Hebrew pictures... this is not the Big Timeline) 3. Read the Alexander the Great section and the Roman Section (Up to but not including the collapse) from your White Book. Expect a Quiz Due 11/2: 1. Take your summer collages of the Paleolithic Era and Neolithic Era and then print out a written summary of how the Paleolithic Era led to the Neolithic Era which led to the rise of civilizations. Paste this summary behind the Neolithic Era collage. 2. Print out/Draw pictures that represent the Ancient Civilizations: Mesopotamia, Egypt, Ancient India, Ancient China and Olmecs... fill up the page...on the back type and paste in paragraph format the similarities and differences of the Ancient Civilziations in terms of their PERCLS.
3. Finish any flash cards up to the Greeks... Remember any new flashcards must be done in the new format. Title, picture on the back and typed notes on the back.
